STUDENT TEAM ACTION MOTIVATION PROJECT - A YOUTH CITIZENSHIP INVOLVEMENT PROGRAMME
There are opportunities for students to be conscious of and learn about their own environment and communities. Connecting students with their local governments provides them the window to practice active citizen participation at the local level and prepare them for future leadership. STAMP ? Student Teams Action Motivation Project is a hands-on contribution of students groups to local government development and growth. Where people with common interest issues and expectations voice their support, opinion and suggestions for the enhancement of the overall well being and quality of life of the people within their community

THE GOALS OF STAMP
? It aims to foster team action and cooperative problem solving attitude amongst our future leaders
? It focuses on helping the youths to discover the creative aptitude in them as the resolve real life issues
? It aims at creating a sense of communal belongingness
? It aims at involving the youths in governance by engaging their contribution
? To bring about increased awareness of citizen participation even within the family

OPERATION OF THE COMPETITION
The student Team Action Motivation Project is designed for the young adults and teenagers in JSS3 and Tertiary institution in the 774 local government areas plus CDA?s in federation. We will work with the media and to give media publicity to the event Collaborate with government in achieving its sustainable community Project

1st Prize 2 Computer +N150,000 + project execution and School recognition within the local government
2nd Prize Computer + N120,000 + set of books + project execution
3rd Prize Computer +N100,000 + set of books+ project execution

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Schools can enter as many teams of students as possible each team will be registered separately. A Panel of Judges will review the submissions and the best presentations will be taken

ENTRY CRITERIA
*It shall be a quarterly competition
*There can be multiple entry but it must be in different themes.
*Students must work in teams of 5 persons minimum
*They are to identify specific issues/problems/ in their locality, community and local government.
*Project and write-up must be solution based, workable, and pragmatic for easy adoption.
*All registration and correspondence must be done online
