Legislators will truely be the representatives of their constituent's interests when
(1) they know precisely who their constituents are,
(2) they interact with them regularly, and
(3) their political futures depend on gaining and keeping the support of the constituent

Constituency work may strengthens accountability and transparency, as well as foster participation through consultation with their constituent members, who in this case are their customers. It is consultation that bring the government closer to the people.

Legislators should routinely consult, interact, and exchange views and information with the public, so that citizens can express their preferences and provide their support for decisions that affect their lives and livelihoods.
Frequent interactions with elected representatives on an on-going basis strengthens the relationship between legislators and constituents. These interaction enables representatives to feel the pulse of the public and act appropriately.

The challenge has always been how to ensure the interests of all the citizens are represented, the usual contituency offices cannot handle the traffic and many of the citizens do not visit for myriad of reasons. This is one of the advantages of this platform to bring the represntatives closer to their constituent
